503 - Drug Labels Re-Design for High Risk & LASA Medications

09/13/2023 New re-design for prepared medications with High Risk and/or LASA alerts

 

 

We have now improved the print of prepared medications labels in order to better show the High Risk and LASA alerts for medications with this type of alerts (LASA and High Risk checks must be active in Charge Master II window).

This will help pharmacists and clinical staff view this information more easily and to manage them with more caution than other meds.

Pharmacy labels can be printed from the following windows :

• Pharmacist Dashboard

  After preparing doses, you can print these tags (confirm message) automatically or by clicking context menu and selecting Print tags :

• You can also reprint tags in Dispensed Prescriptions Report from Pharmacist Dashboard if you click any of these meds :

• Outpatient Pharmacy Dashboard

  After selecting a record, you can print tags after selecting the medication from the list in context menu and Print tags :

Tags will now include High Risk and LASA alerts as in the following examples :

Update :

October 2nd, 2023.

• High Risk, LASA : Label names change to meet the KSA health standards

 

In order to comply with local health standards, both warnings for High Risk and LASA meds will change their names :

• High Risk Alert will now be called High Alert Medication

• LASA Alert will now be called LASA Medication

Also, our current warning icon for High Risk medications ⚠️ will no longer appear on labels (remaining on Cirrus) since this icon is not standardized.

• Drug Instructions in Arabic for Outpatient labels

  Since it is very important to always communicate dosing instructions in Arabic for our KSA costumers and to give these details to their patients, we have added this information to the printed pharmacy labels, where staff and patients can now see the dose information translated to Arabic right under the original English field :

  

  This translation was already appearing on printed prescriptions and now will also be available on printed labels for outpatients :

  

  By doing this we are making sure that our clients always comply with their local Health legislation and always improve their patients' satisfaction.
